Big thanks again to Helen for spotting this 1960s Michael Manser-designed modernist property in Wokingham, Berkshire.
At first glance, you might wonder of much has changed in 50 or so years. But looks closely and you will see some updates. But certainly not at the expense of the overall design.
The house offers around 2,000 sq. ft. of living space, not to mention quite a few period features. That includes the full height windows and sliding doors, wood cladding on the ceilings and the wpnderful courtyard garden at the centre of the property.
But this isn’t a time capsule. A look at some of the finishes, the kitchen, the bathrooms and the decking area onto the rear garden tell you that. This is a modernised house, but done with respect to the original Manser design. It’s a house you can move into tomorrow. If you have the money, obviously.
